Shane O'Brien: 'Most wanted' fugitive accused of killing Josh Hanson, 21, in 2015 bar attack pleads not guilty to murder

A man accused of killing 21-year-old Josh Hanson in a late-night bar attack four years ago has today pleaded not guilty to murder.

Shane O’Brien, 31, is accused of attacking Mr Hanson with a knife at the RE Bar in Eastcote, north west London, on October 11, 2015.

The victim, from Kingsbury, died at the scene from his wounds, shortly after the 1am incident.

O’Brien, a father-of-two, appeared at the Old Bailey this morning via videolink from HMP Belmarsh to plead not guilty to a charge of murder.

Judge Anthony Leonard this morning remanded O’Brien in custody until his trial which is due to begin on September 16.
