Shane Lowry never looked happier as he watched his beloved Offaly win the All-Ireland U20 football title at Croke Park today.
Offaly beat Roscommon 1-14 to 1-11 to show that there are plenty of green shoots for a county with a rich history in gaelic games.
It comes after the senior footballer and hurlers were both promoted this season, while the hurlers won the Christy Ring Cup in style.
The good times are returning for the Faithful County who last won the All-Ireland football championship in 1982 when Shane's dad Brendan scored 0-03 in the final, with Shane's uncles Sean and Mick also on the winning team.
And father and son were in the Hogan Stand together today to see Offaly become the U20 football champions.
2019 Open champion Shane has become a financial back of his county's GAA teams, and the Clara man was jubilant in the stands.
He recently told the Irish Independent: "I've been going to O'Connor Park for the last 10 or 15 years and I can genuinely count on one hand the amount of times I left happy.
"It's been a bad aul' run and it's nice to have some success again. We're definitely on the right road as a county."

Lowry now spends the majority of his year in Florida while playing on the PGA Tour, but he never wastes an opportunity to get home and watch his county.
The 34-year-old will be celebrating tonight before travelling to New Jersey for the start of the Fedex Cup playoffs on Thursday.
Lowry is determined to make Padraig Harrington's European Ryder Cup team this September and is currently just inside the automatic qualifying positions for the team.
