Open champion Shane Lowry got a standing ovation when he showed off the Claret Jug at Croke Park today.
The Offaly man, 32, had the Limerick and Kilkenny supporters on their feet ahead of their All-Ireland hurling semi-final.
Lowry, who brought the famous trophy to Dublin's Temple Street Hospital yesterday, was all smiles at GAA HQ.
And he walked onto the same pitch where his dad Brendan won the 1982 All-Ireland football final with Offaly.

Lowry created his own bit of sporting history for his county last weekend when winning The Open Championship by six shots at Royal Portrush.
The golfer had scheduled to play a tournament in Memphis but took a deserved week off to celebrate his momentous victory.
