The roars which greet every one of his drives and putts have told their own story.
Ireland's Shane Lowry is on a charge in The Open 2019 and in prime position to take home the Claret Jug at Royal Portrush.
And right there with him, at his right arm, is a Northern Ireland man.
Lowry split from his caddy Dermot Byrne around this time last year – reportedly in the middle of the Scottish Open and on the eve of The Open itself.
And now he's got former Ardglass club champion Brian 'Bo' Martin on the bag.
Lowry, writing in his Paddy Power blog, said: "To be honest, that Friday evening 12 months ago, when I was thinking about caddies, ‘Bo’ (Brian Martin) was the first person in my head.
"My brother did a few weeks first and then Bo started with me in Portugal and it’s been good ever since."
The pair were briefly separated at the recent Irish Open at Lahinch when Martin and his wife were celebrating the birth of a baby boy.
Martin previously caddied for Frenchman Alexander Levy, helping him win the China Open and Portugal Masters, as well as Michael Hoey.
He's the uncle of rising pro Cormac Sharvin.
And he could well have an Open Championship on his CV come Sunday night.
