Shane Duffy's Celtic press conference in full as he delivers his own emphatic Gary Breen response

New Celtic signing Shane Duffy insists moving to Scotland was the best move for his career, as he backed himself to improve at Parkhead.

Former Ireland international Gary Breen expressed concern about the Brighton defender's move, claiming he'll develop "bad habits" in the Premiership.

Manager Neil Lennon dismissed those fears, and in a press conference on Thursday the new man was asked for his thoughts.

Duffy chuckled: "Listen, everyone's entitled to their opinions.

"That's his and you've got to respect him as well. I'm here just to focus on playing for Celtic and doing it for the fans up here, doing it for the manager and the team.

"He's got an opinion, Gary's entitled to what he said but I don't believe what he said was right.

"It's a huge club up here and it's a massive honour to be at this club.

"So I'll just let me football do the talking.

"Gary's always been very complimentary of me, he does say good things about me.

"It's his opinion of my move and, as I said, he's entitled to it. But it's whether or not I believe it's the right thing to say is the other thing.

"I'm delighted it was the move I made, I think it's been the right move and it's only going to make me better playing for a club like this: the pressure of winning every single game and performing well at a big club."
