Shane Duffy hits back at Rangers 'pandering' claims as he takes Celtic fan to task

Fed-up Shane Duffy hit back at a Celtic supporter who claimed he was lapping up the pantomime boos he received at Ibrox.

The Parkhead loan flop was back in Glasgow on Saturday as he played for the Premier League side in their 0-0 draw with Rangers at Ibrox.

But Duffy took issue with one supporter who insisted he was playing up to the home supporters who cheered his every touch during the match.

A video on social media circulated of the Republic of Ireland international smiling and putting his arms in the air when he came in for flak before kick-off.

But he insists he wasn't trying to get the home support onside as they revelled in his misfortune after Celtic 's botched 10 In A Row pursuit.

Posting on Twitter, he said: "I certainly was not pandering to that lot I got it from every single one of them today and they were boring the life out of me."

Duffy faces an uncertain future with the Seagulls and the 29-year-old still has two years remaining on his deal at the Amex.

He made 27 appearances for Celtic last season and helped them secure the quadruple Treble against Hearts.
