Shane Duffy arrives for Celtic unveiling as new signing pictured in Glasgow

New signing Shane Duffy has arrived in Glasgow ahead of his official Celtic unveiling.

The Brighton defender sealed a season-long loan move to Parkhead last week while on international duty with the Republic of Ireland.

And following Sunday's Nations League defeat to Finland, the boyhood Hoops fan has now travelled to Scotland.

He was pictured entering the Blythswood Hotel in the city centre as he prepares to meet his new team-mates.

It means Celtic fans could get a glimpse of the centre-back in club colours in the coming days.

Duffy will likely be officially paraded this week and is set to join Neil Lennon 's squad for Saturday's trip to Ross County in the Premiership.

The stopper captained Ireland for their two fixtures over the past week, scoring an injury-time equaliser in a 1-1 draw with Bulgaria before a weekend defeat to the Finns.

The 28-year-old spoke candidly about the move from the Ireland camp last week.

He said: "Obviously, I don't need a reason to go to Celtic but if there is ever a reason it's this year to make history.

"It's something I have been following anyway, hoping they would get the title every year so now to get the chance to be a part of it is a huge honour but there is a lot of hard work to do to get that 10 In A Row.

"I know the fans are optimistic and I am too so we are going to do the hard work and hopefully the reward is at the end."
