Shane Bieber shouts out Topps for funny error on his baseball card

It’s Shane Bieber — not Justin. Come on, Topps.

Shane Bieber is an All Star and starting pitcher for the Cleveland Indians, and Justin Bieber (no relation) is a Canadian pop star. But Topps, the baseball card company, seems to have mixed up the two men. Shane’s name is correct at the top of the card, but in his bio, the company refers to him as Justin. (Oops.)

Because of the error, Shane decided to give Topps a shoutout on Twitter. He took a photo of the mistake, and tagged the company in the tweet. They had the perfect response.

“Is it too late to say sorry?” the company’s twitter account asked, referring to Justin Bieber’s hit single, “Sorry.”

Shane (10-4) nabbed an All-Star Game MVP award this season while logging a 3.40 ERA with 11.2 strikeouts per nine innings and a 1.012 WHIP. After his strong season in 2019, Topps can’t possibly make the same mistake twice.
