Shams: LeBron James ‘extremely serious-minded’ about Vegas mini-camp for Lakers

LeBron James is no stranger to working out with his teammates before starting training camp, something he did during his last few seasons with the Cleveland Cavaliers, but he seems more serious than he’s ever been when it comes to molding the Los Angeles Lakers in his own image.

Earlier this week, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported that The King was in the process of organizing a pre-Training Camp mini-camp for the Lakers. In a follow-up later this week, Charania reported that LeBron’s mood when it comes to approaching the camp is ‘extremely serious-minded,’ and that the camp will go down in Las Vegas.

Sources say James is extremely serious-minded about this minicamp — an essentially players-only bonding experience on and off the floor.

Las Vegas will provide an ample opportunity for the Lakers to accomplish both some workout objectives as well as some team-bonding activities. Vegas is a haven for NBA players in the offseason with several NBA training facilities in the city as well as the aforementioned amenities like luxury hotels, clubs, shows and elite restaurants to make it a great place to get ready for a long season.
