Shamrock Rovers have been handed a tough pot for tomorrow’s Champions League qualifying draw.
The League of Ireland champions will face one of Malmo of Sweden, Polish giants Legia Warsaw, Slovakia’s Slovan Bratislava or Lincoln Red Imps of Gibraltar.
Stephen Bradley’s Hoops are among the unseeded teams in the draw but have dodged other sides like Dinamo Zagreb and Ludogorets.
Lincoln Red Imps would be the most favourable of the four options available when the first round qualifying draw is made just after 11.00am.
Dundalk, Bohemians and Sligo Rovers are also in the hat tomorrow for the inaugural Europa Conference League first round draw.
The Lilywhites are seeded and will play Honka Espoo of Finland, Welsh side Newtown, Mosta of Malta, Racing FC from Luxembourg or FC Struga of North Macedonia.
The Gypsies and Bit O’Red are not seeded and will face trickier tasks, although there are no big name draws at this stage.
And Bohs won’t be fazed facing one of Stjarnan of Iceland, The New Saints of Wales, Gzira United of Malta or Gibraltar’s Europa FC.
A clash with The New Saints would revive memories of their Champions League nightmare in Oswestry in 2010.
Pat Fenlon’s side should have been out of sight at home but only won 1-0 and were then stuffed 4-0 in Wales.
Sligo Rovers will land FH Hafnarfjordur of Iceland, Slask Wroclaw of Poland, Klaksvik of the Faroe Islands or Welsh side Bala Town.
