Shamrock Rovers 'in talks with PSG' over July glamour-friendly with French giants

Shamrock Rovers could take on Paris Saint-Germain in a glamour-friendly next month - according to reports.

Stephen Bradley's side could potentially tackle the French giants in Paris on July 17, with the two clubs reportedly in talks over a potential meeting.

Celtic are also linked with a friendly against the French champions on July 22.

The French Ligue 1 season was cancelled in April amid the coronavirus pandemic and mega-rich PSG were declared league winners.

Thomas Tuchel's side are through to the quarter-finals of the Champions League and have planned a number of July friendlies in preparation for a return to competitive action.

The remaining rounds of this year's Champions League are to be played in a final eight straight knock-out tournament in Lisbon in August.

The Hoops would be warming up for the resumption of domestic action, with the SSE Airtricity League season looking set for a July 31 return.

The FAI Cup holders and last season's Premier Division runners-up also have rescheduled Europa League qualifiers to prepare for in August.

Mirror Sport has contacted Shamrock Rovers for comment.
