Shameless fly-tippers have been caught on camera dumping waste in an Edinburgh neighbourhood.
Saughton House, a community group, shared pictures of a Silver Ford Focus that was alleged to have left a huge bag of trade waste in a fly-tipping "hot spot".
"A local resident informed us that they witnessed trade waste being dumped last Friday around 2:50pm by two guys in a Silver Ford Focus.
"This has now been reported to The City of Edinburgh Council ’s Enforcement Team - along with the full car number plate (blacked out on social media)", they said.
"Saughton Mains and Stenhouse is our home - not a dumping ground" they added.
Coucillor Ashley Graczyk, who founded the group, has been working to draw attention to the issue of fly-tipping in the area.
In a statement, Saughton House said: "Saughton Mains and Stenhouse area has become a hot spot for fly-tipping in recent months, and it is time to send a clear message that this is our home, not a dumping site.
"Saughton House has recently launched the ‘Keep SMS Clean’ campaign with the aim of increasing more sanitation resources in Saughton Mains and Stenhouse area so we can improve the local standards to help keep our area clean.
"We are keen to encourage everybody to use the appropriate services for waste collection and to manage their rubbish responsibly so the Council can improve their waste service.
"If you see any litter, dog waste or fly-tipping in the local area, please report it by taking photos and reporting via Twitter to @edinhelp with specific location (we find this the quickest and easiest method).
"We also urgently need more Street Enforcement Officers to report illegal dumping and issue fines, but the city-wide team only have four officers per day on duty covering 15 wards, which is completely inadequate. We also need more regular patrols here and CCTV in the worst affected streets."
