Shameless commuter brushes teeth waiting for Tube and 'spits it out on platform'

London's transport is stressful enough without the occasionally inconsiderate behaviour from commuters on the city's tubes, trains and buses.

One unfortunate commuter shared a particularly harrowing episode seen on a Tube platform at Euston station on Wednesday morning.

Pictures show the apparently rushed commuter brushing his teeth in front of other astonished Tube riders, reports MyLondon .

To make matters worse, the man appeared to spit the toothpaste out on the busy platform instead of over the edge.

The eyewitness tweeted about her traumatic experience earlier this morning.

She said: "Disgusting behaviour at Euston station this morning.

The passenger was then seen spitting the toothpaste onto the platform floor (Melissa Therms)

"Packed platform and this man starts brushing his teeth and spits repeatedly on the platform."

This person may have been able to avoid this unusual scenario if they had decided to get up five minutes earlier.

In 2017, it was found London Underground has become a 'breeding ground' for anti-resistant superbugs .

Infectious anti-resistant bugs were found on the seats and handles on all Tube lines with 22 different bacteria species identified on the Victoria line - the worst performing in the capital.

It comes after researchers from London Metropolitan University and taxi insurers Staveley Head analysed swabs from trains, buses and taxis to examine the cleanliness of London's transport network

In total, 121 different bacteria was found with nine of those identified as among the world's most dangerous anti-resistant superbugs.
