A drunk driver was pictured boozing in a nightclub minutes before he mowed down a 15-year-old girl.
Shaun Gatti chugged back a fishbowl cocktail at Vienna's in Paisley, Scotland, thirty minutes before he ran over Robyn Fryar as she walked home with pals.
The shocking picture was released by the Crown Office today after he was jailed at the High Court in Glasgow for more than five years for killing the the schoolgirl.
An image of his badly damaged car starkly illustrated the force of the speed the 21-year-old was travelling at when he hit Robyn last July.
He had been driving at excessive speeds and on the wrong side of the road when he ploughed into the teenager, Glasgow Live reports.
Robyn had left a friend's house after celebrating the end of her exams and was crossing the road at the time.
The court heard that Gatti was driving at up to 47mph in a 30mph zone and the youngster was carried on the car for a distance after being struck.
Gatti initially got out of the car, but after seeing the injured girl, he got back inside and sped away.
Robyn died later in hospital.
The coward tried to conceal his guilt by cleaning the motor, removing registration plates and covering it with a tarpaulin.
Gatti later admitted causing Robyn's death by dangerous driving, and to attempting to pervert the course of justice.
Speaking following the sentencing, Procurator Fiscal for Homicide and Major Crime, David Green, said:
“Shaun Gatti’s dangerous driving has irrevocably damaged many lives and our thoughts go to the family and friends of Robyn Fryar.
“Gatti’s actions were completely unacceptable and have resulted in the most severe consequences.
"I hope this conviction and sentence deters others from making the same catastrophic mistakes."
Gatti was sentenced to five years and three months in prison.
Detective Inspector Allan Kelly, senior investigating officer for the case, said: "I cannot begin to imagine what Robyn’s family have had to endure over this last year and my thoughts have always been with them.
"I hope today brings them some sort of closure to the tragic events of the last year and allows them to move on as a family.
"I would like to thank my team of officers who worked tirelessly to gather all the facts so we could present the full circumstances of the reckless and wicked behaviour of Mr Gatti and the untold damage he has caused to the Fryar family and the local community.
"I hope today's outcome serves as a reminder of the tragic consequences of the selfish act that dangerous driving can lead to and the devastation it leaves behind.
