Shamed doctor cleared of killing friend by giving her painkillers revealed as step-daughter of road-rage killer

A shamed doctor cleared of killing a friend by giving her painkillers can now be revealed as the stepdaughter of a road-rage killer and drug dealer.

Katy McAllister, of Dundee, was last week sentenced for importing controlled drugs, including diazepam, oxycodone, temazepam and morphine.

In 2017, the 33-year-old mum of two was found not guilty at the High Court in Edinburgh of culpable homicide but admitted supplying diazepam and temazepam to two people.

McAllister’s stepdad is Mark Watt, who went on the run after killing six-month-old Robbie Millar in one of Scotland’s most notorious road-rage events.

Convicted drug dealer Watt, then 46, forced another vehicle off the M8 and down an embankment near Paisley in April 2000.

Little Robbie, who was in the car, died in hospital the next day.

Watt, of Mount Vernon, Glasgow, was jailed for five years, with six months more for failing to appear for trial the previous year.

The thug, who had already served sentences of nine and 10 years for drug offences, fled the country and was held after a Record team led Spanish cops to him on Gran Canaria in 2002. He was extradited after being held in jail.

In the latest case, McAllister admitted four charges at Dundee Sheriff Court of importing more than 2000 controlled drugs over three months in 2017.

Sheriff Alastair Carmichael told her he had considered a custodial sentence but ordered her to do 200 hours’ unpaid work.

In 2017, she was cleared of killing Louise McGowan at Voodoo Tattoo in Dundee in May 2015 but pled guilty to supplying a fellow medic with diazepam and another man with temazepam.

McAllister is suspended as a doctor and faces a fit-to-practise hearing.

She declined to comment when we spoke to her this week.
