Shamed Bruno Langley launches music career after being sacked from Corrie

Shamed former Coronation Street star Bruno Langley is concentrating on a career as a musician after being axed from Coronation Street.

Bruno, 38, who played Todd Grimshaw in the soap until he was written out of Corrie in 2017, has announced that he's working on new music.

The actor pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting two women at a Manchester music venue and was given a 12-month community order.

Corrie storylines had to be rewritten after the Buxton-raised actor’s contract ended following an internal inquiry.

Last week he announced on his Instagram, named Bruno Langley Music: "Thank you for all your lovely messages regarding my music I love you all and I hope you are doing well x

"I am working on some new music I hope to share with you very soon."

Bruno also plugged his sister Rosie Langley's new single, a cover of Bob Dylan's song It Ain't Me Babe.

He told followers: "I have five wonderful, beautiful and talented sisters. "Rosie my younger sister released this cinematic pop version of It Ain't Me Babe and it is so lovely and cool.

"Please have a listen and follow her on Spotify. Click the link in my bio. I’m eternally proud of you sis love you always."

In October on the account, which has 37,000 followers, he announced that he had single out called Collide.

He made the announcement on the day Gareth Pierce made his Corrie debut taking over from him as Todd, the character he had played on and off for 16 years.

"It’s been a while since I released any work, so here it is," he wrote.

In an interview with the Sunday Mirror in 2018 he said: “I know I’ve let so many people down and I’m under no illusions here, this was all my own doing.”

Bruno made his final appearance in Coronation Street in December 2017.

The character Todd left Weatherfield in the wake of his partner Billy Mayhew revealing that he was responsible for the death of Peter Barlow's twin Susan in a car crash 16 years earlier.

Todd, the son of cab firm worker Eileen Grimshaw and the brother of Jason played by Ryan Thomas, first appeared in the soap from 2001 to 2004.

He returned for guest stints in 2007 and 2011 before making a permanent return in 2013 to stir things up for the residents of Weatherfield.
