Shakti Kapoor's son Siddhanth Kapoor nabbed SECOND TIME in drugs case; actor previously detained in 2008 at rave party

Bollywood actor Siddhanth Kapoor, the son of veteran actor Shakti Kapoor and brother of actress Shraddha Kapoor, was detained on Monday for allegedly taking drugs during a rave party in a Bengaluru hotel.

"It is confirmed that Bollywood actor Shakti Kapoor's son Siddhanth Kapoor took drugs. He tested positive for taking drugs in the blood test report. Hence, he has been brought to Ulsoor police station," the Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr Bheemashankar S Guled told reporters.

According to the police, the rave party was at a posh hotel on MG Road on Sunday night when a police team raided the place and arrested the actor and five others.

Interestingly, this is not the first time that the actor has been caught at rave parties. Back in 2008, it was reported that Siddhanth was among 240 people detained after the police raided a rave party in Mumbai.

They were released in the afternoon after medical examination and after their blood samples were collected and sent for forensic analysis.

The Anti-Narcotics Cell of the Mumbai police raided the rave party and detained the young men and women apart from seizing a large quantity of drugs, deputy commissioner of police Vishwas Nagre-Patil said to IANS. The police also arrested eight drug peddlers, including an Israeli national, SS Shimon, and one woman, who were present on the premises.

The police recovered 104 tablets of ecstasy, 540 drops of ecstasy and other drugs like charas and cocaine, collectively valued at Rs 1 million, Nagre-Patil had said to reporters.

Defending his son, Shakti was quoted saying that his family was a 'traditional one' and that his son has grown up with an understanding of what is right and wrong. "We are not tensed because it is up to him to learn his lessons," the actor said while asserting that he didn't think Siddhanth was involved in any such activity.

Following the arrest, all were let off after a medical test at Sir J J Hospital. However, the eight alleged drug peddlers at the party were kept in custody.
