Shakira ‘worked out’ ex Gerard Piqué ‘was cheating after finding jam in fridge’

Shakira is reported to have discovered her ex Gerard Piqué allegedly cheating on her, after “finding jam in the fridge”.

The Colombian singer, 45, and Piqué, 35, split last summer, after 11 years together.

Piqué has since moved on with new love interest Clara Chia, 23, and it’s been rumoured that the romance began before Piqué separated from Shakira.

The Hips Don’t Lie singer alluded to Piqué cheating on her in her recent music video for single Te Felicito.

In the video, Shakira finds collaborator Rauw Alejandro’s head in the fridge. When asked on This Morning what she was looking for in the fridge, Shakira replied: “To find the truth!”

The scene in the video is reported to have been inspired by Shakira finding out Piqué was allegedly cheating after seeing a jar of jam in the fridge, which he and their children dislike, upon returning home from tour.

ShowNew Today reported that Shakira deduced that her footballer ex was “cheating” as she discovered the empty jam jar, causing reason for their split.

Shakira and Piqué share two sons Milan, nine, and Sasha, seven. It was recently reported that Shakira was moving to Miami with the children, however this has been put on hold, due to her 91-year-old father being hospitalised in Barcelona.

Shakira’s public spat with ex Piqué has come to light in her new song BZRP Music Sessions Vol 53, as she appears to suggest his infidelity towards her with new girlfriend Chia.

The ‘revenge’ song has since viral, with lyrics seemingly referring to Shakira’s former relationship, saying: “I’m worth two 22s. You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo. You traded a Rolex for a Casio.”

Elsewhere on the track, the singer adds: “She’s got the name of a good person. Clearly is not how it sounds”, appearing to make a dig at Piqué’s new beau.

The Spanish centre-back seemed to respond to the song by posting clown emojis on Twitter last week.

It was announced in November that Shakira gained primary custody of her two children with Piqué.

In a joint statement, the ex-couple said at the time: “We have signed a custody agreement.

“Our sole objective is to provide our children with the utmost security and protection and hope that they can continue with their lives in a safe and calm environment.”
