'Shaking' Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse refuses to sit down as she hands Karim her paddle

"Shaking" judge Motsi Mabuse refused to sit down tonight after Karim Zeroual's stunning jive tonight as he was awarded the first 40 of the series.

Karim and pro partner Amy Dowden hoped to impress with their Jive to You Can't Stop The Beat from Hairspray, but they did more than that as they were gifted with a standing ovation.

Motsi, Shirley Ballas and Bruno Tonioli all gave him a standing ovation but as the two latter judges sat down, Motsi stayed standing.

She exclaimed: "I can't sit down, I'm shaking. I just feel like Ive done that dance!"

Motsi then told him to "come to mumma" as she handed him her '10' paddle.

Meanwhile Shirley praised him for coming back to strong after last week's dance off, saying: "That inspired me today, you are amazing."

"I have shivers going down my spine," Bruno said. That was mind-blowing... I think tonight was the best jive I've ever seen in Strictly."

He added to viewers at home: "If you can't see it then go to Specsavers!"

Meanwhile Craig finally stood up at clapped Karim, later awarding him a 10.

This meant that Karim became the first celebrity to win a perfect '40'.
