Shaken Kate Garraway pushed to her 'absolute limit' by 2020 and begs for break

Good Morning Britain presenter Kate Garraway says she's at 'her absolute limit' with everything that's happened this year, after she and her family were involved in a terrifying motorway incident.

Kate and her family have had an incredibly tough time of things over the past few months after her husband Derek Draper contracted coronavirus.

Initially, it was hoped that Derek's stay in hospital wouldn't be a long one but things quick took a turn for the worse and he was put into a medically induced coma.

While he has since regained consciousness, Kate has admitted that his organs have been 'ravaged' by the virus and he faces a long road to recovery.

Then at the weekend as Kate and the couple's children Billy and Darcy were returning home from a rare trip out, they were involved in a frightening motorway incident when a tyre blew on their car.

Sharing her frustrations with her GMB co-host Ben Shephard on Monday's show, Kate said: "There’s a phrase, that God and the Universe don’t send you anything you can’t deal with it.

"I’m at my limit. I’m at my absolute limit so if the universe could give me a minute."

Explaining what happened at the weekend, she added: ""It happened to be on a section of motorway where there wasn't a hard shoulder and there was a feeder road going off and I was nervous of people coming up on the inside and pulled over and the drama unfolded.

"That's when you feel a bit panicky because you are in live traffic."
