Shaitaan box office collection Day 8: Ajay Devgn starrer beats Sidharth Malhotra's 'Yodha' opening day collection

Ajay Devng's thriller 'Shaitaan' managed to hold strong at the Indian box office and emerge as the top-earning film on Friday, March 15. The film which entered its second week at the box office, scored a collection of Rs 4.50 crore.

According to sacnilk.com, 'Shaitaan' earned an estimated total of Rs 79.75 crore in its first week. With an addition of an estimated Rs 4.50 crore, the film's overall domestic collection saw a rise in numbers to an estimated Rs 84.25 crore. The film's gross collections have shot past the Rs 94.25 crore mark.

Shaitaan had an overall 17.80% Hindi Occupancy on Friday, with night shows soaring up to 29% collection.

The collections helped boost the film's worldwide numbers to an impressive Rs 115.25 crore. The film can now set its sights on the Rs 125 crore mark for its second week.

Interestingly, the Ajay starrer managed to beat off competition from new releases like Sidharth Malhotra's action movie 'Yodha' and the Hollywood animated kids' film 'Kung Fu Panda 4'.

The new Bollywood release fell short of a few lakhs to come in second with an earning of Rs 4.25 crore.

Meanwhile, the fourth instalment of the 'Kung Fu Panda' saga earned an estimated Rs 2 crore, with a major portion of the collection coming in from the English markets.
