Shai Gilgeous-Alexander a fan of one odd jersey photoshop

After getting past the shock of trading Paul George to the Los Angeles Clippers and Russell Westbrook to the Houston Rockets, the primary point of focus as it pertains to the Oklahoma City Thunder has been Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Between what he did as a rookie for the Clippers and the fact he should have room to further develop in Oklahoma City, with the Thunder in a much different position than the franchise was last year, Gilgeous-Alexander is expected to be a big part of the team’s rebuilding process.

He could even turn into the new face of the team.

But he has to remember, he’s the face of the Oklahoma City Thunder. Not the face of “The Team Formerly Known as the Seattle SuperSonics.” Based on a recent update to his Instagram story, as Reddit user AcidRegulation pointed out, Gilgeous-Alexander may not have a full understanding of the relationship between Seattle and Oklahoma City when it comes to the NBA.

The 21-year-old guard — who was nine years old at the start of the Sonics’ last season — shared an image of himself in a Sonics uniform, which was photoshopped by another Instagram user, and wrote, “Need these jerseys back ASAP!!”
