Shah Rukh Khan says 'My Rani shines in the central role as only a Queen can' as he showers praise on 'Mrs Chatterjee VS Norway'

Rani Mukerji is back with yet another gripping and intense film titled, 'Mrs Chatterjee VS Norway' and she has successfully managed to impress one and all with her power-packed performance.

Positive reviews have been flooding in from all directions for the actress and the movie. Joining the bandwagon of celebrities showering praise was none other than Shah Rukh Khan. Taking to his Twitter handle, SRK shared a poster of the movie along with a small note praising the film and Rani's performance.

Check out the tweet here:

He wrote, 'What a tremendous effort by the whole team of Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway. My Rani shines in the central role as only a Queen can. Director Ashima, shows a human struggle with such sensitivity. Jim, @AnirbanSpeaketh, #Namit, #SaumyaMukherjee, #BalajiGauri all shine. A must watch.'

Veteran evergreen actress Rekha, who watched the film recently, also couldn't help herself from praising it. She said in a statement, 'Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway, was both exhilarating and heart-wrenching, was sitting at the edge of my seat from the word go. It was an absolute delight to watch the dynamic performance of this ‘Bengal Tigress’ of a mother fight tooth and nail for her kids. This film is for the world to see what ‘Mother India’ is all about! This time around Rani has outdone herself in the role of the Eternal mother… depicting all the faces of Durga Maa… the ultimate ‘Mother’, an intense performance worth watching countless times! She walks through fire, straight into our hearts! What a pleasure to see the actor and character melt into each other!"

She continued, "I also want to congratulate the entire cast and crew especially the Director, who were on point and beyond! A special mention of Jim Sarbh for his flawless and constrained performance! Extremely grateful and proud to witness this brave film which reinforces the fact that there is nothing more mightier than a ‘Mother’s Might’!'

The film is the true story of an Indian couple, an adaptation based on the mother - Sagarika Chakraborty's autobiography titled 'The Journey of a Mother' whose children were taken away from them by the Norwegian Childcare system (Barnevernet) in 2011.
