Shah Rukh Khan recently admitted that he absolutely loves receiving awards. The superstar also added that he feels lucky to be the face of Indian cinema at global events.
Shah Rukh, who received an honorary award to recognise his exceptional contribution to the film industry at a film festival, said that he likes the whole idea of awards because it is not for a specific job that he has done. According to him, he has been trying to make people happy for the last 32 years. He has been successful sometimes, but all in all he felt nice.
Elaborating further, SRK added that he sometimes feels being recognised for this work is not something individual, it’s for the film industry in India. According to him, he is very fortunate and lucky that he gets chosen in places to be the face of the Indian film industry. He is very happy that he can go and tell the stories of Indian films and how they make cinema to the rest of the world. SRK, in the end, hoped that people will see more of Indian cinema irrespective of whether he is in them or not.
Apart from Shah Rukh, the prestigious film festival saw the presence of Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Kajol and Sonam Kapoor.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Shah Rukh will be next seen in 'Pathaan' co-starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. It is slated to hit the theatres in January next year. Apart from this, SRK also has films like, 'Dunki' and 'Jawan' in his pipeline.
