It was reported on October 2 that the NCB had conducted a surprise raid on a party being held on a cruise ship off the coast of Mumbai. It was also speculated that a big Bollywood actor’s son was detained in this matter. This morning, ETimes, reached out to a senior official from NCB to confirm the development, and it was revealed that Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan was detained by NCB officials.
The senior NCB official said, “An investigation is on him.”
A source close to the investigation revealed that Aryan was taken in for questioning, but there was probably no involvement in the possession of drugs. It is also being speculated that another Bollywood actor's son has been detained in the same case. ETimes is yet to get a confirmation on that.
Yesterday night ANI confirmed the news on Twitter with a post that read, “Maharashtra: Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) detained at least 10 persons during a raid conducted at a party being held on a cruise in Mumbai. Details awaited, says the agency.”
It was also revealed by sources close to the NCB that the investigation agency officials had gone through Aryan's phone to check for any indication of his direct involvement in the possession or consumption of drugs.
