Shah Rukh Khan is heartbroken as Great Britain beats India women’s hockey team in Tokyo Olympics

Right after the India men’s hockey team bagged the bronze medal at Tokyo 2020 Olympics after 41 years, it’s now the Rani Rampal-led India women’s hockey team that lost against Great Britain in the bronze medal match.

To this, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan took to his Twitter handle to laud the Indian team who has inspired millions from the country and wrote, “Heartbreak!!! But all reasons to hold our heads high. Well played Indian Women’s Hockey Team. You all inspired everyone in India. That itself is a victory.”

Previously, when the Indian Women’s Hockey Team had made it to the semifinals at Tokyo Olympics, Shah Rukh Khan had celebrated the milestone with a witty tweet. Reminiscing his iconic role as a hockey coach in the popular sports drama ‘Chak De India,’ SRK was spotted rooting for the women’s team to bring a gold medal for the country.

Responding to Sjoerd Marijne’s tweet, he had written, “Haan haan no problem. Just bring some Gold on your way back….for a billion family members. This time Dhanteras is also on 2nd Nov. From: Ex-coach Kabir Khan."
