The Serious Fraud Office has filed criminal charges against six people in relation to a donation made to the Labour Party in 2017.
The SFO has declined to name the defendants as they may seek name suppression, but says none are sitting MPs or current or former Labour officials.
In a statement, Labour Party general secretary Rob Salmond said the party had complied with the law.
He said Labour had not sought any suppression orders, but would not comment further as the matter was before the courts.
