SFA slaughtered over ticket prices for dead rubber Scotland vs Kazakhstan clash

Sickened Scotland fans have slammed the SFA over "shocking" ticket prices for next month's Euro 2020 dead rubber against Kazakhstan.

The national team will bring the curtain down on a horrendous qualifying campaign at Hampden on Tuesday, November 19, against the side that dished out an opening day 3-0 trouncing in Astana.

Steve Clarke 's side still have the safety net of a playoff in March as they look to end a 22-year wait to reach a major finals.

But as they look to build momentum for that crucial match, Scotland are in danger of playing in front of a ghost-like Hampden after the SFA confirmed ticket prices for the match.

Adult briefs are £30 with a £2 carriage fee and £3 booking fee taking it to a total of £35, prices which were set before the campaign began back in March.

Just over 20,000 fans turned up for the 6-0 thumping of San Marino on Sunday while the 52,000-capacity ground was less than half full for the visit of the world's number one team Belgium last month.

Now it could hit a new low against Kazakhstan if the reaction of Scotland supporters to ticket prices is anything to go by.

@4ndyStewart said: "£30? When will the SFA learn. We have no hope of progressing. Concentrate on getting fans in for your last game."

And @GiesYerJaiket slammed: "Shouldn't even be playing it at Hampden never mind the ticket prices!"

@NewcraighallVi1 blasted: "Still playing at Hampden and still charging ridiculous prices, get the game to Easter Rd /Tynie £20 and £5 give something back to the fans after embarrassing campaign."

@SuperChris1982 said: "I can’t believe they haven’t reduced these prices or did some sort of reduced child ticket with every adult. Shocking!"

While @E1GHTIES fumed: "After what can only be described as an embarrassing campaign the @ScottishFA should be giving these tickets away."

@Fazzat1903 said: "North stand. £30 plus £5 booking/postage for a non game on a Tuesday night."

@fmeikle added: "Sorry - as a former regular attendee I won't be paying these prices."

And @TheCrispola said: "Brass neck man."
