Sex, spellcheckers and video preaching

More serious stuff later today but I did notice a couple of pendants to the Times Unchanging Roman story. The mistake seems to have been sprinkled across quite a lot of encyclicals on the Vatican site. Further research led me to a piece of protestant prudery, which, with a spellchecker's help was responsible for the emergence of an athlete called Tyson Homosexual.

The definitive guide to this phenomenon is at Language Log, which will also explain how Queen Elizabeth lays up to 2,000 eggs a day, news which our sycophantic royalist press has so far concealed from us.

And then, back through Commonweal, comes a piece of up to the minute patronisation of women -- a conservative Catholic trying to explain the excommunication of Sister Margaret McBride.

It's a video. Watch all the way through: it's only a minute and ten seconds long. You may never forget what you've seen.

The first thing I thought when I saw it was "Why do right-wing crazies always have such huge whites to their eyes?" The second was simply ZOMFG.
