A pervert performed a sex act in front of two horrified young girls on a packed bus.
Michael Reid, 35, carried out his sordid activity after the girls, both 12 years old, boarded the Stagecoach service.
He looked at them while sitting in the back row of the top deck on the double-decker bus on July 26, 2019.
One of the witnesses recorded him on her mobile telephone.
The girls were so scared of Reid that they texted each other, rather than talking, and agreed to pretend they were getting off at the next stop.
Saud Ul-Hassan, prosecuting, said they told the driver, who contacted a supervisor, while Reid, who had carried out the act after boarding the bus in Saltcoats, Ayrshire, left.
Reid, of Kilwinning, Ayrshire, pled guilty at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court to a charge of intentionally engaging in a sexual act in the presence of two minors.
Sheriff Shirley Foran handed Reid a two-year community payback order and placed him on the sex offenders’ register for five years.
