Sex/Life fans are just realising that Billie and Brad are a couple in real life

Netflix's steamy new series Sex/Life has got everyone hot under the collar, especially the on-screen couple Billie and Brad who have major chemistry.

The US drama, inspired by the novel 44 Chapters About 4 Men by BB Easton, follows the life of bored stay-at-home wife and mum Billie Connelly (Sarah Shahi) who begins fantasising about her sexual exploits with past flame bad-boy ex Brad (Adam Demos) as a way to escape her reality.

Over the course of the eight episodes, all of which are pretty heavy on the explicit scenes, the pair get down and dirty numerous times.

But it's not a surprise that the chemistry between the pair is so electric as Shahi and Demos are dating in real life.

In an interview with People magazine, Sarah revealed the couple actually met in the makeup trailer on set when filming began.

She says: "We got on instantly. We had the exact same taste in music. We had the same taste in whiskey and tequilas and I was really blown away by him just as a person and all I knew was that I wanted more."

Although the couple are keeping their relationship pretty private, their social media accounts confirm they're an item.

Since going Insta' official on Valentine's Day this year, they have been posting adorable snap after snap.

On Adam's birthday in May, Sarah said: "Not exactly sure how two people on opposite sides of the world could have more in common, were meant to meet, were meant to be together.

"But I do know I met my soulmate. I do know I found my forever. I do know I've never loved deeper, harder, more ferociously. I do know I'm overly grateful for him.

"I do know I've loved him for a thousand lifetimes before and will love him for a thousand lifetimes more. Happy birthday my baby @adam_demos ".

Whilst Adam told Telegraph Australia: "What I will say and I am always happy to say, is that I am a lucky man and it is happy days."
