Sex Education's Asa Butterfield tells fans to 'f**k off' as they swarm him on night out

Sex Education star Asa Butterfield has sworn at fans who swarmed him on a night out.

Asa, who plays the main character Otis Milburn in the Netflix show, said he is "so tired" of fans of the programme filming him and taking photos without permission.

He admitted it ruins his night and said he'd had to slap phones out of his face when he was out

The TV star, who has also appeared in The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas and Son of Rambow, urged overeager fans who aren't respectful to "f**k off, leave me be please".

Asa, 24, tweeted: "I'm so tired of people filming me/taking pics without asking while I’m on a night out.

"It actually kills my mood and my night, f**k off, leave me be please."

It seemed he had cut his night short after becoming fed up with the fans who wouldn't leave him alone.

He added in another tweet: "Tweeting this from a cab home after I’ve had to slap multiple phones out my face tonight."

Asa finished his rant on a much happier note by sharing a picture of his adorable pet cat.

"Anyway look at my cat," he added.

It is not known where Asa was on his night out, but his fans have voiced their support for him and urged others to show him some respect.

Asa recently spoke about the third series of Sex Education after new episodes dropped on Netflix.

The show follows students at Moordale school as go through their difficult teenage years, with their problems often related to sex.

He told The Guardian: "There's a bit of a time-jump since the season two cliffhanger.

"Otis is back at school but he's got different things on his plate.

"He's grown up a bit and become slightly more sassy."

But he insisted that the character is still as awkward as ever.

Asa added: "It's been fun to portray his newfound charisma.

"Don't worry, though, he's still tragically awkward too.""

Gillian Anderson plays a sex therapist called Jean Milburn, who is the mum of Asa's character.

The show has been a huge hit, with Netflix saying it was streamed by over 40 million viewers within its first month of release.
