A predator who carried out a string of attacks on six women in just 12 days in south London has been jailed.

Joshua Victorin, formerly of Albany Road, Walworth, was handed a life sentence for the sickening crimes on Thursday at Inner London Crown Court on Thursday and will serve a minimum of eight years and eight months behind bars.

The court heard how the 25-year-old carried out two attempted rapes on December 23 and New Year’s Eve last year, before committing four sex attacks within three hours on January 4.

He was arrested the following day.

Police warned Friday that there may yet be other victims and urged them to come forward.

The offences took place in areas of Southwark, south London.

Met Detective Sergeant Chloe Angris said: “Victorin is a prolific offender who assaulted six women over a 12 day period.

“It is possible that there might be other women who were assaulted by him, and I would urge them to contact us.

“The Met is committed to tackling violence against women and girls, and with Victorin’s imprisonment, Southwark is a safer place.”

Speaking to the Mail on Sunday earlier this year under a pseudonym, one of Victorin’s victims said she was saved by a nearby security guard after being attacked on New Year’s Eve.

“I dread to think what might have happened. I couldn’t have fought him off for much longer,” she said.

“He could have slit my throat or choked me. Or if my head had hit the floor in a different way, I could easily be six feet under now.”
