Sex attack on woman at Clydebank park investigated by police

Police have launched an investigation into the sexual assault of a woman in the Clydebank area.

The attack on the 47-year-old in Dalmuir Park was reported yesterday, November 8, at around 6pm.

Enquiries are currently ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident with officers still present in the area.

Areas within the park were sealed off by police earlier today as the investigation got underway.

Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers received a report of a sexual assault of a 47-year-old woman in Dalmuir Park, Clydebank.

“Enquiries are at an early stage and ongoing to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.

“A police presence will remain in the local area while the investigation continues.

“Anyone who was in the area at the time, or has information, is asked to contact Police Scotland quoting incident number 2657 of Tuesday, November 8.”
