Sex and The City fans hit with bad news for spin-off show

  • Showrunner, writer, and director Michael Patrick King confirmed the series' end in a statement posted on the show's Instagram.
  • King decided to conclude the programme after writing the season three finale, feeling it was a fitting place to stop.
  • The decision was made in consultation with the entire team, including star and executive producer Sarah Jessica Parker.
  • The final season was extended from 10 to 12 episodes, concluding with a two-part finale, with the announcement delayed to avoid overshadowing the current season.
