Slip on your Manolos and glad rags – Sex and the City 2 is heading to the big screen now that all four key stars have signed on the dotted line, Variety reports.
Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis will reprise their roles as Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte, the stylish Manhattanites followed by millions during the long-running HBO TV series, which came to an end in 2004.
Last year's movie, in which writer Carrie finally married her on-off beau, Mr Big, was a huge hit in the US and across the globe, taking $152m (£103m) and $260m (£177m) respectively. A sequel was a foregone conclusion.
Producers hope to get the follow-up into cinemas for summer 2010, although writer-director Michael Patrick King, who is also returning, has yet to start work on the screenplay.
