Severn Trent Water issues apology after roadwork disruption in Netherfield

Bosses at Severn Trent Water have issued an apology after roadworks on major road in Netherfield caused disruption to travel and businesses.

Necessary roadworks on Victoria Road have been taking place since Sunday, October 24.

The work, undertaken by contractors on behalf of Severn Trent, have finished earlier than expected, and the road can now be used as usual.

Local businesses had been worried that customers thought they closed.

Severn Trent has issued an apology.

In a statement, the company said: “We’d like to say sorry to customers affected by a section of Victoria Road in Netherfield which has been temporarily closed because of essential sewer repairs.

"We’re pleased to say that the repairs are now complete and our teams are working to get the road back to normal.

"Again, we’d like to apologise for any inconvenience this might have caused and reassure everyone living and working in the area that we’re doing everything we can to get things back to normal as quickly as possible."
