Severn Beach crash: Teenager dies in fatal crash between car and lorry

A 19-year-old man has died after a car crash in Severn Beach.

The man, who had been driving a car, was involved in a collision with a heavy goods vehicle.

The crash happened at around 7.40am this morning (September 24).

It took place on an unclassified road which connects the A403 Severn Road, Severn Beach to Palmer Avenue, Severn Beach.

The 19-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash and his family have been informed.

The road has been closed since the accident and is expected to be closed until later in the evening while police officers carry out an investigation.

Avon and Somerset Police are now appealing for witnesses to the crash as they begin an investigation.

A spokesman for the force said: “If you saw what happened, please contact 101 and give the call handler the reference 5220216948.”
