Severe storms have once again made landfall in south-east Queensland, with multiple reports of heavy rain and hail across the region.
The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) said at 7:30pm that severe thunderstorm warnings for Queensland have now been cancelled.
The BOM said this afternoon one storm cell south of Caboolture and Redcliffe had golf ball-sized hail and 78 millilitres of rain, with "much of that falling in an hour".
The BOM said Waterford, south of Brisbane, had received 63mm of rain in one hour.
BOM forecaster Pieter Claassen said smaller hail fell as part of another storm cell in the Logan region, south of Brisbane, that brought 60 millilitres of rain.
He said storms tracked "north-eastwards towards the northern Sunshine Coast towards Noosa, even northwards towards Gympie".
The BOM said a number of "borderline severe" cells near Ipswich and Brisbane dumped nearly 40 millilitres in 30 minutes.
Mr Claassen said conditions were "even more conducive [for storms] tomorrow" and they were likely to be "even more active than today".
