Severe fly-tipping causes 'total road block' on route to Bristol Airport

Vandals who dumped goal posts, a fridge and sofa bed near Bristol Airport caused "a total road block'.

The fly-tipping was so severe, police were forced to clear up the huge pile of rubbish from  Yanley Lane, near to the A370 during the early hours of this morning (August 29), according to our sister paper Somerset Live .

It was described as "a total road block" by officers on the scene, who moved the debris out of the road, ready to be collected by the local council.

A post on the Somerset Police Bristol Airport Twitter account reads: "Keeping rural community routes clear.

"Dispatched to a total road block on Yanley Lane during the early hours.

"Goalpoasts, fridge freezer, sofabed, piles of wood and bags of rubbish and rubble all shifted for later collection by North Somerset Council."
