Three people security personnel were wounded on Friday in a bombing south of the northeastern Libyan town of Ajdabiya.
Military spokesman Faisal Ahbale said that a car bomb targeted a checkpoint at the town’s southern entrance.
No group immediately claimed responsibility, but he said he believes it was carried out by the ISIS terrorist group.
Ajdabiya is situated west of Benghazi and has been under the control of the Libyan National Army in the country's east since 2016 after forcing out extremist militants.
The LNA is led by Field Marshal Khalifa Haftar.
Libya descended into chaos with its 2011 uprising, which toppled longtime ruler Moammar Gaddafi.
