Irish Rail services between Dublin and Galway are set to be disrupted by engineering works this weekend.
Line improvement works on Saturday will see several services disrupted, with bus transfers operating and train cancellations in the evening.
Many services will operate as bus transfers between Dublin Heuston and Athlone will take place, followed by a train from Athlone to Galway.
There will be smaller disruptions on Sunday, with just some morning delays and bus transfers.
Due to the engineering works between Sallins and Kildare, the following service alterations and amendments will take place on Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th February.
Saturday
17:10 Dublin Heuston to Athlone is cancelled
19:35 Dublin Heuston to Galway is cancelled
18:10 Galway to Athlone will not serve Woodlawn
18:15 Dublin Heuston to Westport will be bus transfers from Heuston to Tullamore and Athlone, followed by a train at 20:30 from Athlone to Westport
18:15 Westport to Dublin Heuston will operate to Athlone only, with bus transfers in operation from Athlone to Heuston, a second bus transfer will operate from Athlone to Clara, Tullamore, Portarlington and Heuston
20:27 Ballina to Manulla Junction is deferred to 21:15
21:00 Manulla Junction to Ballina is deferred to 21:55
The following services will operate as bus transfers between Heuston and Athlone, followed by a train from Athlone to Galway;
16:30 Heuston to Galway
17:30 Heuston to Galway
18:30 Heuston to Galway
15:05 Galway to Heuston
17:20 Galway to Heuston
19:20 Galway to Heuston
Sunday 14th February
08:00 Dublin Heuston to Galway will be bus transfers from Dublin Heuston to Kildare and Portarlington, followed by a train at 09:15 from Portarlington to Galway
09:40 Athlone to Westport is deferred to 10:06
10:30 Ballina to Manulla Junction is deferred to 10:55
11:05 Manulla Junction to Ballina is deferred to 11:32
11:40 Dublin Heuston to Galway will not serve Clara
11:00 Galway to Dublin Heuston is deferred to 11:35
Irish Rail advise passengers to check the times before travelling and only travel if essential.
