Several people stabbed in busy shopping area in the Netherlands

Several people have been stabbed in a busy shopping district in the Netherlands.

Dutch police say the incident happened in the Hague's main shopping street, which was full of people looking for Black Friday deals.

Police are looking for a man, about 45 to 50 years old, in a grey jogging suit in connection with the attack.

The incident happened at the Hudson's Bay store in the city's Grote Markt or main market square area, local reports say.

Police spokeswoman Marije Kuiper said it was not clear if the stabbing was a terror incident.

Police have urged the public to contact them if they witnessed the attack or see anyone matching the description of the suspect.

They also requested that anyone with images or footage of the incident send it to police.

News of the attack in the Netherlands broke just hours after two people were killed in a suspected terror attack on London Bridge.

Another three people were hurt and are being treated in hospital.

The suspect was shot dead at the scene.

They were wearing what is believed to have been a hoax explosive device, police said.
