Several new disabled parking places set to be introduced in Wishaw

New disabled parking places are set to be introduced at a number of locations in Wishaw.

North Lanarkshire Council have given notice that they intend to establish disabled persons’ parking spaces at addresses in Clarendon Road, Heathery Road, Kirknethan, Lomond Drive, Tarbert Avenue and Wingate Street in the town.

There will also be a space established adjacent to an address in Lithgow Drive, in Cleland, and also in Cunningham Drive in Harthill.

Motherwell will have new spaces put in place in Breadalbane Crescent, Flemington Street, Highfield Crescent, Primrose Crescent and south of numbers 51 to 53 Vickers Street.

Only vehicles displaying an appropriate Blue Badge will be able to park in these proposed spaces.

Notice is also given of orders for the removal of disabled spaces that are no longer required in Cleland, Wishaw, Newarthill, Motherwell, Shotts, Allanton and Newmains.

Full details of the proposals, including plans, are available during normal opening hours at libraries across North Lanarkshire.
