Several expensive cars smashed up in thefts at Llandaff Rugby Club car park, Cardiff

A BMW and a Lexus are among several cars whose windows were smashed in what is believed to be overnight thefts at a Cardiff rugby club.

The cars appear to have been parked over night at Llandaff Rugby Club, which allows members of the public to use their car park.

It is believed that some of the cars owners had left their vehicles there while they went to compete in the London Marathon on Sunday.

This video shows the state the cars were left in:

Shocking footage shows a number of cars damaged at Llandaff Rugby Club

A member of the public who did not want to be named said: "There were six cars in the rear car park. Some of them are really nice cars.

"They had had their windows broken and the glove compartments had clearly been emptied.

"The BMW in particular was damaged with three windows smashed including the rear window. I think they had removed speakers from the back of it.

"I have seen quite a few car break ins around Cardiff on Facebook recently so people should be aware of them."

South Wales Police and Llandaff Rugby Club have been approached for comment.
