Residents have reported that cars have had their tyres slashed with some being left damaged in need of serious repair with reports of attempted house break-ins also taken place in the area.

One worried local said: "Recent spate of robberies in the area, must be same gang, yet they’re doing it night after night lately and seem to be getting away with it."

Another added: "With the plans for massive social housing developments in Clondalkin, what is being pursued in terms of crime prevention with the big population increases planned."

A spokesman for gardai said that they were aware of the recent spate of break-ins and that "enquiries are ongoing".
