Seven people were rushed to hospital after a horror five-car crash in Co Carlow on Monday evening.
The incident happened on the N80 at the Kilbride Crossroads, near Ballon, at around 6.30pm.
Seven adults were brought to St Luke's Hospital in Kilkenny, University Hospital Waterford and Wexford General Hospital after the smash.
All of their injuries are believed to be non-life threatening.
A garda spokesman confirmed the road is currently closed and local diversions are in place.
An AA Ireland spokesman added: "The N80 remains closed outside Ballon on the Bunclody side, while emergency services continue to deal with yesterday’s serious collision.
"It’s expected to remain closed until later this morning."
