Seven people are missing - including two children - after a tourist helicopter disappeared over a Hawaiian island.
A desperate search has now been launched off the Island of Kauai.
Weather conditions in the area have been described as "challenging".
Visibility is said to be around four miles due to clouds and rain and wind are around 30mph.
Robert Cox, from Coast Guard Joint Rescue Command Center Honolulu, said: "We have trained crews responding on scene searching for any signs of the helicopter and those aboard."
The coast guard was alerted to the missing helicopter at 6pm local time after it failed to return from a tour at the scheduled time of 5:21pm

No signals have yet been found during the search, despite the aircraft being fitted with an electronic locator.
A MH-65 Dolphin helicopter has been launched during the search as well as crew from Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point.
Around 80% of Kauai island is uninhabited, with most land falling within national parks.
Tour helicopters regularly take tourists on flights over the stunning island.

Points of interest including Jurassic Park Falls, the Hanapepe Valley and Waimea Canyon.
More searches are planned again at first light local time.
Initial searches are mainly focusing on the sea and coastal areas.
