Seven people in West Lothian have tragically died after contracting Covid-19 in the last week.
The deaths were recorded between October 21 and 27 by Public Health Scotland.
And as of today (November 1) 120 new cases were also recorded, bringing the latest seven-day total 763.
West Lothian is the fourth highest local authority in Scotland for positive cases.
The areas that recorded the highest cases were Whitburn Central at 39, Bathgate, West Calder and Polbeth (37), Wester Inch Inchross (36), Bathgate West (30) and Blackburn (30).
So far 138,151 first doses of vaccinations have been carried out in West Lothian on people aged 16 and over (63.7 per cent of the population) and 130,333 second doses have been administered (87.7).
In the 12 to 15 age bracket, 5268 youngsters have received a first dose and (56.5 per cent) and 84 have received a second (0.9 per cent).
This is higher than the Scottish average, which is 54.1 per cent for a first dose and 0.8 per cent for a second.
The figures come as a new study revealed Covid-19 case rates are continuing to rise in nearly one in five local areas in the UK.
In 10 of the 32 local authorities in Scotland, rates have increased and remain at a relatively high level across the UK, with only one area (the Shetland Islands) currently below 100 cases per 100,000 people.
But with a majority of local authority areas seeing a fall in new cases in the latest figures, all four nations are now showing a clear downwards trend in rates for the first time in several weeks.
