NSW has notched eight more cases of COVID-19 in the latest numbers released on Friday.
The additions take the state's tally to 3910 total cases as at 8pm on Thursday evening.
Among the new cases is one returned traveller in hotel quarantine.
NSW Health said the remaining seven were both locally acquired and linked to a known source or cluster.
The state has conducted more than 2.2 million tests, and is treating 87 people for the virus at the moment.
Seven require intensive care at the moment.
The news comes after Victoria's figures again dropped below 100, with 59 deaths added to the official numbers.
Queensland recorded no cases in the last 24-hour period.
Victorian health authorities said 50 of those deaths occurred in July and were included due to new mandatory reporting rules, which are leading to reconciliation between the state and federal numbers.
National cabinet is also meeting on Friday, where it is expected ongoing border closures will be a major point of discussion along with defining what constitutes a hot spot.
